Lassiter vs Woodstock: Trojans and Wolverines in search of momentum building victory

Scouting the Trojans

The Lassiter Trojans were off last week and will come into this game in search of their first win of the season. The Trojans have used two quarterbacks this season on offense, with Levi Mundt and Mitch Seamen combining for 310 yards and 2-TDs in the first two games of the season. Mundt also leads the team in rushing with 51 yards. Sabien Thigpen has been the go to receiver for Lassiter with 4 receptions for 105 yards a touchdown. Defensively Griffin Mack leads the team with 11 total tackles and 5 tackles for loss, including a sack. Unfortunately for the Trojans they have run up against a couple of buzzsaws early in the season and are allowing 61 points per game.

Scouting the Wolverines

The Woodstock Wolverines are also in search of their first win of the season. Last week it was tough sledding for the Wolverines, but they were able to put some points on the board and Sherrod Ely provided some bright spots in the ground game. The Wolverines have shown improvement with sustaining some drives. This week, we believe they’ll need to start cashing those drives into points. We believe this could be a breakout game for quarterback Peyton Lynch. Woodstock is averaging 11.3 points per game while allowing 47.

Pundit's Pick

Both of these teams are looking for ways to get back on track. For Lassiter, they will have to find a way to get quarterback Levi Mundt off to a fast start. For Woodstock, they’ll have to continue to work use their short and intermediate passing game. We believe Woodstock has a slight advantage because of quarterback Peyton Lynch. Wolverines by 9.
